Clinical Supervision & Training

Dr. Kolzet has an indelible passion for mentorship, teaching, and supervision. She has dedicated herself to instructing and advising the next generation of therapists. To this end, early in her career, Dr. Kolzet noticed that there was a dearth of private practice opportunities for psychology doctoral students. In response, she developed a competitive educational training program for advanced doctoral candidates in New York City so that they may see patients in a private practice setting. Since then, she has collaborated with institutions including Fordham University’s Graduate School of Education and Yeshiva University’s Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology. Dr. Kolzet has trained many doctoral candidates utilizing personalized training materials, workshops, and one-on-one supervision. She has maintained a specific focus on supervising her student’s utilization of and adherence to evidence-based approaches and culturally responsive care as they treat patients in her practice. She is also actively involved in the adoption and incorporation of AI in training doctoral level psychologists for psychotherapy process and outcome research. All of her students have gone on to match at reputable APA-accredited psychology internship programs. She is very proud.

Dr. Kolzet’s dedication to clinical supervision and training has led her to offer her consultation as a clinical lead and supervisor to digital therapeutics companies, startups and community agencies. In these roles she promotes provider quality through recruitment, education, training, supervision, professional development and the oversight of clinical processes.  She marries the work being done across product, operations, research, and clinical teams, teaching them about evidenced-based treatments, and supporting therapists as they implement data-driven protocols. Additionally, Dr. Kolzet was recently featured in a three-part series for early career mental health clinicians where she offers insights into emerging mental health care models, the evolution of digital mental health, and what early career mental health clinicians might wish to consider. She is available to consult with digital mental health companies in a clinical supervisory capacity.
