Maggie McGuire, M.S.Ed has provided individual and group psychotherapy for a diverse range of clients including both children and adults. Her clinical interests include working with individuals who are experiencing stress, depression, trauma, anxiety, work-related concerns and relationship issues.
Maggie’s therapeutic orientation draws from both psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral models. This means that she helps her patients gain insight into their unexplored emotions, childhood experiences, ways of thinking and patterns of behavior. She always helps her clients set achievable goals and tailors her therapy sessions to match each client’s unique objectives.
Maggie is a Master’s level clinician with an M.S.Ed in Mental Health Counseling from Fordham University and a B.A. from the University of Michigan.
In addition to her work at the practice, Maggie has treated clients at Pace University’s College Counseling Center and Metropolitan Center for Mental Health. Outside of her clinical work, Maggie conducts research with various psychologists. Her research is primarily focused on trauma and sexual assault.
